PREPARATIONS FOR THE EUROPA LEAGUE QUALIFIERS COMMENCE
Following the signings made over the last week, Lincoln Red Imps Football Club organised a friendly against Hammersmith in order to get the boys back together and thinking about football with the Europa League Qualifiers in mind.
All of the new signings got plenty of minutes under their belts in the friendly as part of their preparations for the Europa League qualifiers. Christian Castells, Fernando Andrada and Jason Pusey all started for the Red Imps. Loan signing Juan Pablo Pereira ‘Pibe’ came on following a knock on youngster Leon Clinton.
Following the game yesterday our boys have also trained this morning with the focus being on recovery and recuperation for those who had more minutes on the pitch. The rest of the players were involved in strength, conditioning and resistance training to end the week. It has been a week with all players giving it their all. The players now have a day off with the hard work recommencing again tomorrow.
Julio Ribas, our Head Coach, stated that “it was a good match in terms of preparation and our players played professionally in the 9-0 victory.” Christian Laguea, Director, said “the players are putting the long hours in training now with the focus on the First Leg of the Europa League Qualifier on 28 June. The club are impressed with the efforts being put in and hope that this will bring success.”
