LINCOLN FC WESTMED 1-1 MANCHESTER 62 FC
(Manchester 62 win 3 – 1 on penalties)
A re run of last week’s final league game saw the top two in the league go head to head again in the under 13’s Argus Cup Final with the Lincoln side playing for the league and cup double. This was very much a game of two halves with Manchester the better in the first half, despite this Lincoln scored the only goal with a superb strike from outside and to the left of the box. The second half had barely got going when Manchester levelled up the match, however Lincoln bounced back straight away and created numerous chances and should have run out as winners but they could not break down the Manchester defence. With the game ending 1 – 1 each, penalties decided the outcome. The three penalties taken by Manchester gave the Lincoln keeper no chance and with Lincoln only converting the one saw Manchester lift the cup.
